Ute Meadows Chess Club
WHERE: Ute Meadows Library
WHEN: Friday mornings before school from 7:15-8:20. August 30th through May 9th (most likely).
WHO: Kids wanting to learn chess. Parent volunteers to assist with teaching and learning chess yourself (no experience necessary).
WHY: To learn the basic game of chess and have fun. To improve our chess skills each year. To build a strong chess club to compete against other schools in the Denver Chess League. To compete as individuals and teams at local and state scholastic chess tournaments.
COST: $30.00 (goes towards chess boards, pieces, clocks, chess books, recording pads, pencils, and snacks for our home tourneys and end of the year party). Please make checks payable to Ute Meadows.
